An October 2003 trip to London by thomasc

Quote: London is an amazing city with many a site to see, not to forget the shops and nightlife it has to offer. With its culture and amazing people, it has become my home away from home.

Overview

Quote:
The best moment for me was seeing London Bridge as I walked for our hotel to the city. I stayed in the business area.

Quick Tips:

If you are going to London, try and stay there for longer than I did. 3 days is not enough in this city of culture and amazing beauty.

Best Way To Get Around:

For me it has to be the subway or, as British people say, the tube. It was a bit confusing the first few seconds but you soon get the hang of it. Taxis are so expensive.

We went to Soho for the day. It was like a breath of fresh air for the busy London streets. We went into this bistro that was recommended by a member of RCI. Oh, was he right! The staff were friendly and the bistro had an amazing designer feel to it, and for me, it was a good value, too.
