A September 2003 trip
to Northern Territory by Gypsy Canuck
Quote: We went through the desert on a rough, one-lane bull dust road to get to Alpururrlum, the aboriginal community that we were going to stay on with friends for a week. It was a desolate and beautiful land.
We finally got to Lake Nash Station in time for happy hour at 5-7pm. There is a store at the station that serves beer for two hours most days and you sit in a circle on old kitchen chairs outside with the jackeroos and the people that live on the station. They were friendly and fun, and welcome visitors cautiously. It was an experience that I will always remember. Lake Nash is on the border of the Northern Territories.
