Myrtle Beach

A July 2003 trip to Myrtle Beach by rheahack

Quote: Family and close friends travel to Myrtle Beach every year and stay at the Yachtsman Resort. At times, there have been as many as 40 people staying at the resort, enjoying the beach life and activities.

Myrtle Beach

I enjoy walking on the beach. After dinner, my sisters and I would like to sit on the beach in our beach chairs and wait until the tide washed over us.

Quick Tips:

I also enjoyed going to nearby Studabaker's dance club. The cover charge was free thanks to the Yachtsman Resort, and the entertainment was great! Broadway on the Beach is a good place to shop and on Wednesday enjoy the laser fireworks.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking is the best way to get around, but there is plenty of public transportation available. We would often drive our own cars.

Attraction | "Studabakers"

A DJ plays a variety of mustic (old and new), much of it from the 50s and 60s, which I really enjoy. The bartenders, waiters, and waitresses put on little skits, such as "Guitarzan", and a Micheal Jackson dance routine. It is very much an audience-participation theme.
