Dune bashing in the desert: Many companies offer tours, but the best I've found is one offered by Safari Tours, as it includes a sunset on the beach and a solid spread of food. If allowed, be sure to go to the inland sea. Palm Tree Island and the Corniche: The city revolves around the Corniche, where Doha borders the Persian gulf. It is a palm-tree-lined boardwalk. Here you can find Dhow trips around the harbor or to a relatively nice beach on Palm Tree Island. At the lower end of the Corniche, near the Marriot, is the museum.
