The beach, golf courses, and great places to eat--what more could you ask for? A good place to stay would be one thing to start with and tips to help you choose that place.

Overview

The beach in the fall is a great place to be - not crowded and lots of shells to choose from first thing in the morning. Golf is not the only good thing to do. Brookgreen Gardens is a wonderful place to escape to for a day or longer - your pass is good for 7 days. The sculpture found in these gardens is awesome. The Children's Garden was a joy. An evening at Crocodile Rocks - Dueling Pianos was a lot of fun.

Quick Tips:

Check the local newspaper for specials on golf green fees - the savings can be substantial, especially if you are willing to play in the afternoon. Also, use any coupons that you find - sometimes they can be deducted even from special rates.

Best Way To Get Around:

You really need a car to explore Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas. Although a shuttle system - called the Lymo - is available and will take you from the beach to Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Square Shopping Mall. A nominal fee is charged.
Best Things Nearby:
Beach.

Best Things About the Resort:

Resort Experience:
The one-bedroom unit was very small and was situated on the ground floor. We were about 60 yards from a major road, which resulted in a lot of noise. Our unit did not have a balcony or patio. We looked directly out onto the parking lot and if we opened the bedroom window, we could touch the car that was parked there. We were very disappointed in this resort and tried to be moved to a higher floor or at least further back from the street. We were told there was a good chance this could be arranged, but nothing happened.
