The Hidden Jewel

A travel journal to Barcelona by Lee Van Horn

The sights are breathtaking with Gaudi and Picasso. The architecture is phenomenal ranging over many years of design. The food and hospitality are among the world's best. The best kept secret from Americans.

Attraction

TiBiDaBo gives a wonderful view of the landscape of Barcelona. Tibi Dabo actually means "I will give you", which is a reference to Satan tempting Christ. The park gets its name because of the magnificent view. You can see almost the whole city from La Sagrada Familia to the Cathedral to the ports off the Mediterranean. It is an older park and has the traditional amusement park rides. They are fun without them being commercialized by modern cartoon characters. While there, you can visit the Church of the Sacred Heart.

To get to TiBiDaBo, you can take a ride on the Funicular. It is a train that runs straight up the mountain, an exciting adventure on its own.
