An October 2003 trip
to Cancun by Nereen
Quote: White sandy beaches, blue and turquoise beaches, blue skies, friendly faces and friendly people, five-star accommodations. . .what more could you ask for? Cancun is the place to be.
Then if you want to catch a tan and relax, the beach is just outside your hotel room and the sparkling blue pools are just a few steps away from your award-winning hotel resorts with swim up bars.
Other than that if you want to indulge in a spa treatment, Spa Palace is the place to be at. Spa Treatment center is the America's largest spa center with over 180 rooms just for treatments alone.
Hotel | "Aventura Spa Palace"
The Spa Palace is an adult-only resort, thus making it very pleasant for guests who want total relaxation, and not having kids running around the corridors and yelling to other children. Spa Palace is so peaceful. They have their own lagoon, so you can snorkel, kayak, and swim. They also have swim-up pool bars and with the all-inclusive program, you can eat and drink as much as you want.
The food is first class. I am vegetarian and do not eat even fish, but I was really impressed with La Heurta, a vegetarian restaurant. They served the best vegetarian dishes I have sampled. With 6 different restaurants to choose from, I would sample the entree and the main dish at a restaurant, and then visit another restaurant to sample their dessert and Mexican coffee.
I also think that it is the perfect honeymoon resort as well -- no children, beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise water, and just the perfect sunsets make this dream destination a honeymooner’s paradise.
Spa Palace has the largest spa facility in South America, which provides massages, reflexology, facials, yoga, and all different kind of spa treatments.

Also great for entertainment, as while you are eating your dinner there is a group a three Mexican musicians that come up to your table and sing to you whilst you are eating. If you are a honeymooner, then they will play a soft romantic song, but if you prefer a fast song they will sing anything you want.

Attraction | "Tulum"
The only thing to watch out for is the snakes. I was walking though the grass and a grass snake was moving through the grass. My colleague happened to kick though the grass, screamed when he saw the snake, and, panicking, kicked it right onto me. It coiled itself around my leg and after screaming and yelling for dear life, it slithered back into the grass. The tour guide came running over to me to see if I was bitten, but luckily it was not a poisonous snake. Just be on the look out and walk on the cemented areas.
