The pier has a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. A walk to the end of the pier gives a great view of the city from a distance and some cool photo opportunities. A free bus service to various sights and shops is operated from Navy Pier. We took it to the shops, but since I have been shopping for the last 4 weeks in Indy, I was getting a little tired.
The nightlife was very exciting. We had a nice meal at Adobos Mexican restaurant and then tried out a few bars on Rush Street, many of which had live music.
Day two was even better. We took a boat trip out on Lake Michigan and then back through the city rivers. The scenery was very impressive, and I had a chance to use my new camcorder to capture the different architecture. We tried shopping again, this time on Michigan Ave., which offered top brand names such as Nike and Gap.
The last highlight of the day was Sears Tower, said to be the tallest building in the world, which offers an amazing view of the city.

Best Way To Get Around:
We had to wait a long time for the free bus each time we used it. There is an attendant at each stop who can tell you how long the next bus will be. If it's going to be a while, taxis are quite reasonably priced. We paid about .00 to get to our restaurant, which was about a 4-mile trip.
