At a stone throw distance is a nice pub with their own brew. I had a nice big dinner there and then a spa before falling into a deep sleep.

On Highway 35, stop by farms to buy fresh produce!! Big juicy peaches and pears. Have a nice walk by a small town on the other side of the river. There is a Fruit Loop map where you can visit different farms, orchards, vineyards, and garden cottages (especialy for harvest seasons June to October).
I had my hands full holding bags of fruit and cakes, and didn't take photos.
If you have time, you can also take the Hood River train from Hood River (town). We only had a short walk browsing around the town (refreshing after the cold, wet Mount Hood and the hot, dry desert).
