An October 2003 trip to Los Cabos by kymiss

Quote: It was our first time in Los Cabos and we had a wonderful time. Not necessarily the best time of year weather wise, but other than the heat we had no weather problems.

Overview

My boyfriend has recently gotten his SCUBA certification, so he went diving two days with a company called Diversions -- they were great! It was wonderful! He saw lots of sea life including eels, sharks, seals, and loads of fish. I rode along on the boat and could have snorkeled from it had I wished. Also, we took a snorkel trip to Santa Maria Beach. It was really good snorkeling and the boat trips there and back were lots of fun. We also went deep-sea fishing. That trip was a big disappointment. We had booked a 5-hour trip, but when we got to the dock (at 6am), there were no 5-hour boats available. We loved this restaurant. Unfortunately we ate there our last night or we would have definitely gone back again. We didn't have reservations and barely got in. However they were very accommodating.

The menu was extensive and contained both Mexican and American entrees. They feature a lot of organic produce. We ate steak and shrimp, both of which were excellent. The service is unbelievable. The setting is outdoor with lots of little lanterns, making it really pleasant.

Since we had taken the shuttle from our resort we had quite a walk from the dropoff point to get there, but it was worth it. This is a definite must.
