Best Things Nearby:
Mountains, shopping, and family activities.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean.

Resort Experience:
I considered this an average unit in size, although RCI had it ranked as a Resort of Distinction. I was extremely disappointed by the resort's attempts to have us attend a sales presentation. In over 25 years of RCI membership I've never had an exchange resort try to pitch a sale during my visit.

Attraction | "Gatlinburg Municipal Golf Course"

There aren't many courses to play in the Smoky Mountain region, but don't miss this municipal course near Dollywood. Each hole has its own unique flavor with great mountain views, but there's a par three on the back nine that truly lives up to its reputation as "one of the most dramatic holes in golf." It's a gorgeous 174-yard hole that only plays to about 145 yards because of a 220 foot vertical drop! Throw that short iron up in the air, stand back, and wait in awe for it to finally come to rest far below (and hopefully on the green)!

Don't let the label of "municipal course" fool you. This is far and away the best course in the area (and the highest price), but a valid candidate for the "don't miss it" list.
