A visit to this area offers an opportunity to visit multiple Civil War battlefields. Most notable is Chancellorsville, but Fredricksburg and the Wilderness are also nearby. The National Park Service has an excelent display and information service here.

Best Things Nearby:
Civil War battlefields are the main attraction in this area. However, you are with an hours drive of Monticello, (Jefferson's Home), Williamsburg, and Washington, DC.

Best Things About the Resort:
The units are individual cabins which give a great deal of privacy. They are most comfortable and nicely decorated. My cabin had a picture of General Robert E. Lee meeting with General Stonewall Jackson just prior to the Battle of Chancellorsville.

Resort Experience:
The cabins give great privacy, but there are social opportunities as well. They have an enclosed, heated swimming pool, a gymnasium and an exercise room, tennis courts, and a small grocery store on the premises.
