A guide to the Pearly Grey Ocean Club in Callao Salvaje and the surrounding area.

A week in Adeje

Overview

A flexible destination that's great for couples, families, and young and old alike. Boat trips are available all along the 'Costa Adeje', and a trip to see the whales and dolphins will cost you about 25 euros per person and is well worth the money.

Quick Tips:

Ask for a unit that backs directly onto the sea. The views of the 'Pearly Grey Ocean' are simply breathtaking and the noise the waves create is bizarrely therapeutic.

Best Way To Get Around:

Callao Salveje has numerous bars and resturants as well as food and paraphenalia shops. These can all be reached on foot from the resort. For those in search of nightlife and entertainment, Playa de las Americas is a five minute drive away. If you hire a car it's a five minute drive south along the TF1--if you catch a cab it will cost you 7 euros.
Best Things Nearby:
Tennis courts and bowling facilities are within a two minute walk from the resort. Beckhams -- the restaurant is virtually opposite the resort and offers cheap and cheerful snacks and light meals. The Skypark is five minutes away by taxi or car and is absolutely exhilerating -- it's a kind of bungee jump!

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The resort is spectacularly located overlooking the rocks and sea in Callao Salvaje. The accommodation is of a high standard and this is amplified by the regrading of this resort as Gold Crown from 2004.

Resort Experience:
The studio units have sun terraces which overlook the sea - this is fabulous. The units are spacious and tiled throughout. The studio had a full kitchen, bathroom, and comfortably slept two people.

The resort did have a restaurant and bar that offered live entertainment; however, I did think the restaurant left a little to be desired. The resort facilities include a swimming pool, table tennis, table football, hot tub, playground, bowling green, and games room.
