Pompano Beach, Just Go

A September 2003 trip to Pompano Beach by JudithK1

Went to Pompano Beach five years ago and just had to return for another visit. Close to just about anything you want to do.

Visited Butterfly World. Beautiful and interesting. Rented a waverunner and had a great time riding the ocean waves. Did the dinner cruise on the Jungle Queen. Highly recommend this one.

Quick Tips:

A week just wasn't enough time to visit all the places that were of interest. Plan on making another trip in the near future.

Best Way To Get Around:

We drove most of the places we visited. Traffic moved fairly well and I enjoyed looking at the antique shops and resturants that were available in the area.
We had a one-bedroom condo. It was clean and we had a view of the intercoastal water way and the ocean. Everything that we needed was provided and the people were friendly.

Restaurant

The food was great and the service was exceptional. We dined outdoors along the intercoastal waterway and watched the boats as they cruised by. It is conviently located and has valet parking.

You leave and the fun begins. The captain is very informed about the local residents and the price of homes and boats along the way. It is very intertaining and the crew is very friendly and knowledable about the area. The food that is served on the island and the intertainment is very good. The return cruise is very calm and you just sit back and enjoy the moments.

Attraction

It is soft sand and blue skies. This area doesn't have the large condo's and hotels on the ocean side. There is parking availble for those that are staying too far to walk. There are plenty of resturants and pubs nearby. Fishing piers and places of interest to visit along the beach.
