A September 2003 trip to Myrtle Beach by wcordeau

What a fun place to do nothing. We were in Myrtle Beach for a week at The Riptide, right on the beach. The staff was great and the location was perfect in the center of local activities.

Hotel | "Riptide"

I really liked the Riptide. It was right on the beach, the staff was accommodating in every way, and even though the amenites were somewhat dated, they were clean, and you had a whole ocean right outside to enjoy!! I had been prewarned that the parking was limited onsite -- that's not unusual on the beach, but about half the time, we had parking onsite and the other half of the time, we put our car in a free garage about a block away. We could always load and unload in the "loading zone" without any problem.
