Ha Ha Tonka State Park is a great place to hike with kids. It also has a lot of wildlife. The Tom Sawyer boat cruises are reasonably priced, a lot of fun, and family friendly.

Quick Tips:

There is a Super Wal-mart right in Osage Beach with great prices so you can stock up there.

Best Way To Get Around:

If you have a boat, bring it!! Not only do they have driving directions, but they have lake directions as well, and most of the best places are right on the lake with docks to pull up to.
Best Things Nearby:The condo was right on the lake with great views. Also right by outlet shopping. Everything was real close by.Best Things About the Resort:The great view of the lake and the boat docks for those with boats.Resort Experience:This was a nice condo unit with full kitchen and great views and lake access. It is rated a Gold Crown but I wouldn't rate it that high. There were not a lot of activities on the resort and there is no restaurant at the resort. The staff is friendly and helpful and the recreation center has a work out room, big screen TV with VCR, a pool table, darts, and ping pong. There is a heated pool and hot tub. The Horny Toad


The food was awesome, waitstaff slow, and kinda pricey. This is definitely gourmet and worth the exta bucks. Try the crab cakes, they are great.
