We had two wonderful weeks at the Sedona Vacation Club/Los Abrigados. The Red Rock is spectacular as it changes hues with the time of day. Sunsets are the best that we have seen. Downtown Sedona has all kinds of restaurants and shops.

Los Abrigados

Best Things Nearby:
On site are three great restaurants: Steak & Sticks (serving steak, chops, seafood, and grilled specialties), Joey Bistro (serving Italian food), and On The Rocks Bar and Grill (serving burgers, Jack Daniels ribs, fresh salads, sandwiches, and JOEY wood fired pizza). By using your room charge card, you will get a 15% discount. They have a world renowned spa on site, but we did not use it. Tlaquepaque Art Village is next door and has numerous upscale shops and restaurants. Sedona center is a 15 minute walk from Los Abrigados. Or you can take a trolley with discount tokens available at the lobby.

Best Things About the Resort:
The heated swimming pool is laid out great, plenty of lounges, towels are supplied at the pool. A bar at the pool has a daily drink special and you can also order lunch from the bar. Close to downtown Sedona. The ground are well kept.

Resort Experience:
We were in a one-bedroom unit on the second floor. The unit was large, with a mini kitchen that was adequate if you like to eat out. The bedroom has a king-size bed with 27" TV. The living room has a dining area, sleep sofa, TV/VCR, and CD stereo player. The Jerome Suites have a Jacuzzi on the deck. Coin-operated washers and dryers are on site in a separate building that has a TV and is air-conditioned.

Cowboy Club

Restaurant

Cowboy Club

The Cowboy Club is a casual, family-oriented dining area with full bar featuring the finest in Buffalo and Angus Steaks, Game and Fresh Seafood including Rattlesnake, Sweet Potato and Cactus Fries. The Cowboy Club was the gathering place for Sedona's early settlers. The décor is Country and Western, showcasing the second largest set of Longhorn horns in the United States, and a number of prominent cowboy artists' works. During the filming of cowboy movies John Wayne, Ray Milland, Burt Lancaster, Jane Wyman, George Montgomery, Dick Powell, Agnes Moorehead, Burl Ives, Maureen O’Hara, Robert Mitchum, Hedy Lamarr, Glenn Ford, James Stewart, Rock Hudson, Donna Reed, Gene Autry, Joan Crawford--to name a few--were known to enjoy the warm fire and spirits at the Tavern.

Enchantment Resort

We found that the best dining experience was at the Enchantment Resort. It is in a gated community that can be accessed by calling ahead for a lunch or dinner reservation. Famous people are frequently at the resort (Sharon Stone was on-site but we did not see her). The view on the outside dining deck has one of the best views in Sedona. If you stick to the luncheon menu, prices are not out of sight ($12 - $18) with nice gourmet style large portions. Excellent menu choice, however it can be pricey.
