Oregon Coast and Lincoln City

An August 2003 trip to Lincoln City by MJ27

Quote: The Oregon coast is beautiful. Beaches are beautiful tooo, but too cold to swim. Lots of other activities. Grandson enjoyed the activities. Bay cruise in Newport was awesome. I would definitely visit here again, but not at the same condo.

This was timeshare trade, so I don't know the price. We loved the Oregon coast, but not this complex. We were only at the complex to sleep and change clothes. This was a small older timeshare complex that sits on a bluff above the ocean. Beach access is a block or so away down some steps or you could drive down a hill and park on the sand. This is billed as a two hour marine life family cruise of the bay, river, and ocean. The captain determines route based on weather.

We were fortunate to have picked a beautiful day with many grey whales right outside the bay. We spent 90 minutes whale watching. It was absolutely awesome and very family oriented. Kids got to drop crab pots on the way out of the bay and pick them up coming in. They each got to hold a live crab before they were thrown back into the bay. My grandsons chose this as the most memorable outing of the week.
