Lake Bastrop Best of IgoUgo

Overview

Quote:
The park is located not far from the heart of Bastrop, but has an ‘away-from-it-all’ feeling. The landscape is so unlike anything else in Texas that you feel transported to a far-away place. And with Bastrop so close by, if you get an urge for a meal in a restaurant or other amenities, everything is readily available. They take reservations and are open year-round. The endangered Houston Toad is often spotted near the water's edge.Quick Tips: Bastrop is only about 30 minutes from Austin, so if you're planning an extended trip be sure to drive up to the capital city. You could also visit or camp at Bastrop State Park which is just up the highway from the lake.Best Way To Get Around:...Read More
