Best Things Nearby:The resort sits on a hill overlooking the main village. Most restaurants and shopping is just a few streets away.Best Things About the Resort:Nice room with a complete kitchen and TV with VCR (free movies available in the office). Office staff is friendly and the office also has a very friendly dog to greet you. Resort Experience:The resort is an old mansion converted into different units. We got to view a number of the units and they are all unique with special alcoves, fireplaces, bay windows, and all the interesting features you would expect in an old mansion. One unit even has a special loft for children with a spiral staircase in the ...Read More

This is a beautiful restaurant set just off the road with a wonderful garden view. Diverse menu with a wide selection of seafood, beef, and special entrees the chef prepared. My favorite is the Vermont Chicken, which is wonderful. Also, there's a wonderful onion soup and the breads were terrific! Great choice of fabulous desserts. We liked it so much, we went back three times during the week we stayed here!

A wonderful restaurant in an garden-like setting. Huge burning fireplace made it warm and cozy. Terrific appetizers and wonderful soups. Wide selection of entrees and seafood -- I had a terrific swordfish! Relaxed and romantic. Diners were mostly locals in this college town.

Wide variety of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and lighter fare. Great wings, terrific bbq burger, and a selection of beers brewed on site. Enjoyed the light beer. Terrific desserts -- had a great white chocolate cheesecake. Restaurant is on an old barn-like building on the main road on the north edge of town.

Chandler's Restaurant at Yankee Candle Village

Restaurant | "Chandler's Restaurant"

Quote:
The restaurant is in the Yankee Candle complex. We went for lunch. They have a wide variety of daily specials, a blue plate special, and a large choice of sandwiches and salads. I had a wonderful corn chowder, the turkey croquettes (which were out of this world), and a wonderful chocolate cake! The service was great and the decor is colonial, with lots of memorabilia.

This is a store not to be missed and it will exceed your expectations. It is actually a small mall within the store with home decorating, children's, Christmas, linen, and candle areas. Also there's a candle-making museum and several restaurants within the complex. If you like Yankee Candles, they have every type, as well as test candles and theme candles. If you are not impressed by this store, you may not be breathing!

Great choices in trails in this state park. The falls were beautiful! However, remember that what goes down must go back up! It was very steep and if you are not in shape, you will be quite exhausted!
