My daughter and I enjoyed Mesquite. The Oasis has many pools with a fun family pool. The rooms were nice and large even though it is an older resort. It worked out nicely being able to drive into Utah and go to Zion (a close day trip) and Bryce (a long day trip), as well as go down toward Vegas to see the Hoover Dam. Coming back from Utah was nice because of the time change -- we had that extra hour to swim at night. Yes, it is hot, but it was much quieter than Vegas -- my 12 year old likes it much better, so we'll stay there whenever we're out that way.Quick Tips: Grocery stores in town so it's easy to cook -- we bought microwaveable food, so it didn't take too long after a lot of driving (p
