This motel is about a mile from downtown but is a great place to stay on a first visit. While you are in town check out the bed and breakfasts - there are some really nice ones down by the bay. This Holiday Inn Express is just like any others - same type rooms, same amenties.

This pier even comes complete with a restaurant, the Yardarm, which is just one of the many fine places to dine in Fairhope. The pier and its surrounding park, including duck ponds, fountain and rose garden, are popular places for not only visitors but also locals. The pier is used not only by fishing enthusiasts but also by many people who come to the pier to get their daily exercise.

The Eastern Shore Art Center highlights a different local artist each month and kicks off the showing with a party. The monthly exhibits include oils, watercolors, mixed media, photography, sculpture and ceramics. The center is also the scene for concerts, lectures and workshops.

The museum is located in one of the 1907 classrooms of the Marietta Johnson school of Organic Education. A visitor will find exhibits pertaining to the progressive philosophy of Marietta Johnson.

A visit to this office at 336 Fairhope Avenue will allow a visitor to view photos and documents about the founding of Fairhope as a single tax colony in 1894. There is also a reading room for those wishing to read more about the subject.
