Early September in Myrtle Beach

A September 2003 trip to Myrtle Beach by mconrad1600

I stayed at the Plantation Resort in Myrtle Beach. It was a great place to stay if you like being away from the hustle bustle of the Grand Strand area.

Barefoot Landing and Broadway on the Beach are great places to go. Shops, restaurants, amusements, and shows can be found at either location. Myrtle Beach has several outlet malls as well (shopping is quite good). Of course, the Grand Strand is a great place to be -- if you are looking for more quiet beaches, try Surfside Beach or Garden City.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

It is best to have a car to get around. There is a lot to see and do, but no public transportation.

Resort Experience:
It is definitely away from the hectic "Grand Strand". A car is necessary. Just driving into the resort to your unit is about half a mile. The resort is great. It's a very large complex with several different timeshare resorts. There is a golf course for those who enjoy golf. The unit was quite nice--nicely decorated and very well-equipped, with a terrific Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The one-bedroom had two double beds and a TV. It was a very enjoyable unit in which to spend a week.

Mostly seafood, but other choices as well. Creative entrees. Excellent!! Beautiful setting. Claims to have the best sunset on the Grand Strand. Very relaxing, and a friendly staff.
