Cabo San Lucas in July

A July 2001 trip to Cabo San Lucas by JCamp9000

Cabo is beautiful. The weather is perfect every day and the fishing is exciting. We stayed right on the beach at Solmar. The pools were very inviting. There was no swimming allowed in the ocean due to undertow.

Best Things Nearby:
Beach, pool, bar. Town is nearby, within walking distance. It's all downhill going into town. Coming back, it's all uphill. Keep that in mind! Beautiful marina and excellent restaurants are a 5 minute walk.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is a beautiful resort. The people were friendly. The swim-up bar was great. We met several other people, and we chartered a boat together through the resort. We caught two 200lb. Marlin, which we released, of course. This was one of the best resorts we have ever visited.

Resort Experience:
Everything was very casual and comfortable. Taxis were readily available if you didn't wish to walk. The Mexican dinner was fun. They tied shot glasses around our necks and fed us tequila all evening, along with an excellent buffet of traditional Mexican food. Nearly all employees spoke English.

Lovely restaurant. We went with 6 others that we met at the resort and had a great dinner. Have the Mexican coffee. It is the best way to follow up your dinner.

This place is a blast. The noise, music, and tequila never end. You will be pulled into the action and will probably find tequila being squirted down your throat. Beware, the people that come around with the big sombraro charge big bucks for a shot of tequila! Nevertheless, you will laugh until your cheeks hurt at the Giggling Marlin!

Great place to spend an evening. Wonderful rock and roll band. They sang in English, although they didn't speak English. That was pretty funny. The drinks are plentiful, and the service is fast and reliable. Lots of people meeting each other and having fun.
