Grand Canyon--when to go!

An October 2001 trip to Grand Canyon by dianegma1

Visiting the Grand Canyon off season, which we did in October, made for a less-crowded, yet beautiful time of year to see the splendor of the canyon. The trees are bright yellow and this makes for a nice contrast to the colors of the canyon.

Hotel | "Fairlfield Flagstaff"

Best Things Nearby:
Easy drive to the Grand Canyon! Also close to other national parks in AZ.

Best Things About the Resort:
The accommodations are spacious -- our two-bedroom/two-bath unit was more than adequate for our home away from home.

Resort Experience:
Fairfield Flagstaff is a good place to use as a base for day trips to many of Arizona's parks. Since we were there in October, we did not use pools, but did use miniature golf and played pool.

Don't miss this opportunity to see amazing scenery. You'll see some of the scenes used in movies and commercials, but that's only a small part of the wonder of the area!
