Travels to Toronto

If you are a thrill seeker, then one of the best things to do is to jump up and down on the glass floor at the top of the CN Tower. It is the highest man-made structure in the world, and you can eat in the revolving restaurant at the top. Right next to it is the Skydome, home of the Toronto Blue Jays. The roof can rotate and slide around, transforming it into an open-air arena for soccer, baseball, and also musical events. If you want to get a good view of the Toronto skyline then one of the best ways to do this is by taking a a boat tour around centre island. One of the boat tours also runs a connecting bus tour around the city, providing an educational look at one of Canada's most fascinating cities.

To avoid the hustle and bustle of rush hour, but also to avoid crowds of tourists, the best time to visit sights is midday, mid-week. Queues are shorter then and you might get a discount or two.

Best Way To Get Around:

In the winter it can go below freezing and so it is advisable to walk around in the underground tunnels that connect all major parts of the city; The Eton Centre, The Royal York, and also come up to street level in some areas. Alternatively, there are underground trains, trams and taxis. Just don't ask a taxi to take you up Yonge Street! It is over 2000 kilometres!

The food at the Hard Rock Cafe Niagara Falls is just like it is in all theother Hard Rock Cafes - big, meaty, juicy and tasty good old classic American food. If it isn't deep fried, covered in barbeque sauce, or on your plate with a side of fries, you must be in the wrong place! The portions are huge and small children may want to share, although there is also a kid’s menu. The atmosphere is great, with musical memorabilia lining the walls, as well as several full size motorbikes on the back of the bench seats! Music is playing all the time and video screens play the music videos, so you are surrounded by the sound of good old rock and roll. There is also a shop downstairs where you can by Hard Rock Cafe souvenirs. Unfortunately, there are no windows in the restaurant so you won't be able to see the falls from your table.

The 360-degree restaurant is situated at the top of the CN Tower, and as it revolves around the tower you can get an amazing view of the city. The food was great, and if you take your receipt down to the front desk you get refunded your entrance fee.
