At the airport, you will find restaurants popular for those junk-food junkies. Buy your Big Mac or 1/4 pounder and fries. Good choice for the traveler that is in a hurry before their flight. Can't really tell you honestly whether their food is as good as airline food. LOL

This pleasant restuarant overlooks Pittsburgh from the top of Mount Washington. The view from here is even more splendid during a hot summer day with the lights of Pittsburgh well lit. This establishment is open for business 11am till 2am on mondays-fridays. The weekends are noon till 2am.

They provide a good prime rib and sandwiches.

During the winter months, their fireplace really brings out the best in their place.

This was once an old stumping ground in the days of my single life. Yes, the girls couldn't leave me alone. Just kidding.

Monongahela Incline

Attraction

Quote:
The Monongahela Incline takes commuters and tourists to the top of Mount Washington to marvel at the view. It is one of the few remaining inclines in the country. It is administered by the Port Authority of Allegheny County. It only costs a couple of dollars to ride it, and it is worth every penny paid. Truly a must when visiting Pittsburgh. Fine dining available on Mount Washington, overlooking the city.

Each year, during the festivities of Halloween, you may choose to travel to Houston, Pa (Exit 11 off Rt 79 south), to view this towns pumpkin festival. I will guarantee you that you never saw so many pumpkins in your life! It is geared towards your children. Parents just go to buy the food among the many street vendors. Area main street homes participate in a decorating contest to have the best decorated home. Have fun and enjoy!
