Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, Banyuls-sur-Mer is a quaint village in the south of France. Within driving distance of fantastic sights, we recommend this beautiful seaside resort.

Restaurant Chez Paul (in Banyuls-sur-Mer)--excellent food, service, and very reasonable pricing for the quality of cuisine. Visit Carcassonne (largest fortified city in Europe). Visit Perpignan, a short drive (45 minutes) from Banyuls.

Quick Tips:

Visit the restaurants of Banyuls-sur-Mer, and don't forget to try the regional wine and/or appertifs !

Best Way To Get Around:

Best way to get around Banyuls-sur-Mer is by driving your own vehicle.
Best Things Nearby:
Perpignan, Carcassone, Toulouse, Andorra (a long drive, but worth it!).

Best Things About the Resort:
Relaxation plus, plus, plus ! If you want to be pampered and treated like someone very special, try Thalacap Thallasotherapy ! we loved it ... from the Turkish Baths to the Indoor Marine Pool, this resort is worth the drive from Perpignan (France) or Barcelona (Spain).

Resort Experience:
Nestled in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France, Banyuls-sur-Mer is a quaint village amongst the foothills of the Pyrenees. Surrounded by mountain vinyards, there is an absolute, immediate feeling of relaxation in this beautiful seaside resort.

The timeshare resort is a Thallasotherapy Spa which specializes in "seawater cures." From algae and mud wraps, massages, to the aquagym, the program is tailored to each individual's needs. One guest in each unit, must take part in the regime, but it is well worth it!

After a week at the Thalacap, you come out refreshed and invigorated. Although the program may cut into time seeing other sights in the area, if you have a car, anything is possible. During our stay, we planned trips around the spa schedule to Carcassonne (amazing !), Perpignan, Camargue, and even one day went to Andorra (in the Pyrenees).

Finally, the resort sports a very nice restaurant with an excellent breakfast buffet.
