Overview

This was a nice city to visit. It was pretty clean and the highway system was easy to navigate and get from place to place.

Quick Tips:

Currently the airport is undergoing a major renovation, so take this into consideration if you are flying into Oklahoma City and have scheduled appointments. It will take an extra 10-15 minutes to get out of the airport and about the same amount of time to get to the airline gates. Security screening can be a little slow, so allow yourself at least an hour before your flight leaves.

Best Way To Get Around:

Since the airport is several miles from the city, the best way to travel is by rental car. Parking is not difficult to find and you have the option of parking meters or pay lots to chose from. Once in the city, it is not difficult to walk from place to place, however the summer heat can be quite a beating when walking the streets.

If you're in the mood for good Mexican food, then head to Abuelo's Mexican Embassy. The lunch menu is very affordable, and offers a wide selection of choices. The prices range from $6-10 depending on your selection. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided with every meal. If the salsa is not 'hot' enough for your personal taste, they do have some additional salsas that will help quench your desire to 'sweat'. Just ask the waitstaff and they'll be happy to bring it to you.

With the quite atmosphere and elegant interior decoration, this is an excellent place to plan a business lunch. Just remember the plates they bring out are VERY HOT, so be careful when taking that first bite of food. It can be difficult holding a business lunch when you've burned your tongue and lips on the food. However, if you do find yourself in that unfortunate position, just order the dessert nachos to put out the fire. The dessert nachos are deep-fried flour tortillas cut into triangle shapes, then covered with ice cream and chocolate sauce. They are the perfect end to the meal.
