Old Idaho State Pen

The Old Idaho Penitentiary State Historic Site has the feel of a 'live' prison, with many things left as they were when it was abandoned on December 3, 1973. The site was the scene of many riots over the years, the last one being in 1973. Walking through the grounds makes you feel like you were under guard, especially when you went into the room where they used to hang murderers.
