This journal is packed full of great info for any traveler that goes to Boston, from the food to the tours .

Well, the whale watching is amazing, but it's best to check the season of when to go. Also, the food is amazing, not just the seafood, but also the Little Italy part of Boston -- oh my, it is authentic Italian food that melts in your mouth. Faneuil Hall is so much fun. The Irish area is amazing -- the wonderful blankets made on a farm from sheeps' wool.

Quick Tips:

Well, my first suggestion for Boston is bring comfy shoes -- your feet will thank you when you are done. There is a lot of walking, but you can walk from Boston Harbor to Fanueuil Hall, and then grab the subway to almost anywhere. My second suggestion is definitely try the first mom-and-popo restaurant you find -- I bet you won't regret it. Most of those places have the freshest food and old family recipes.

Don't be afraid to rent a car and head north of the city to Salem MA -- it is a very historic city, from old churches to the wax museums, it a blast! Especially on Halloween! They call Salem the witch city -- it has great historic information. And if you want, go north a little further to Gloucester MA -- can I say best seafood in the world! They basically catch it there in Gloucester Bay and then cook it.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking if you're downtown and if it is to far, try a cab or even the subway. It's safe, somewhat clean, but very cost efficient. If going outside the city, definitely rent a car, but if staying in the city, they will charge a parking fee for the car!!

The Fanuel Hall area is one of the most diverse areas for food. Everything you can think of is there. It's like a market of restaurants. I highly suggest it while you are out and about, plus the prices are not going to break the bank. It also is good for the group who might be hard to please because it has everything from pizza to seafood--everything. It is a wise choice

The Boston Aquarim is amazing -- you walk up to it and the first thing you notice it is half on land, half in water. Then, when you walk in the front door, there is this huge spiral in the middle is the aquarim with every type of fish or shark. The spiral walk way goes all the way around, up and down. At the bottom and some side areas, there are other animals, including a place to hold starfish and see horseshoe crabs. They also have a awsome dolphin show!

The museum is just the best place to spend a day. For the kids it's not only fun but a learning experience and they won't even know it. The wonderful thing about this place is thatthe kids have fun, but what about the adults? Well, anything from the laser shows to anything else is wonderful for us adults--definitely a family option.

One definite do not miss is the Omni Theater. It is this huge place and it is kinda steep, but the screen wraps around the room where you feel like you are there. It's amazing.
