"Road to Hana" drive known as one of the curviest drives in the world. Don't worry about car sickness there are many places along the way to stop. Ask around for the audio disk it points out key stops along the way i.e. waterfalls, natural pools, sugarcane plantations, beaches.
This is very different from any vacation experience that I have ever had. The drive takes you through the Big Island's version of the rain forest with mountains and lushious green surroundings. It is about a half day trip that has something for everyone. Great for a romantic getaway. This winding road from Hilo to Hana takes you approximately 60 miles and is not something to rush through. Take your time and be sure to include one of the beautiful natural pools with crystal clear water. Don't forget to grab your "I survived the road to Hana" T-shirts at the local shops in Hana, which also offer great American and Hawaiian lunches.
