However, this Club Salina timeshare was not up to the four-star standard it has received. The room was dirty. I don't think the floors had been mopped in years. The couch was at least 10 years old and extremely uncomfortable. The beds were hard twin size beds. The stay was topped off with a nice cockroach running around the kitchen. I went to Gozo on a Monday and most things were closed. When I arrived at the port, I took the bus to Victoria and just walked around the town. There is a citadel there and within the walls is a beautiful church and a bunch of old cannons along the ramparts. Tucked along the side of the rampart facing the town of Victoria is the small museum. I was very impressed by the small collection of artifacts. There was an old Roman anchor that I had not seen before. I heard later that they pull these things out of the water all the time. Interesting.
