Enjoyed watching the local activities, which when we were there was salmon fishing along the walk. Several docks are provided for this activity and I enjoyed listening to french being spoken between the fishermen as they shouted with excitement as one or other pulled these large fish in!!

Quick Tips:

We did have a little trouble finding this hotel. Almost gave up and stayed at another close by, but glad we found it as it is the only one on the waterfront.

Excellent. Comfortable easy chair and foot stool. Desk and plenty of room to spread out, relax, and watch the ships and fishing boats from our window. Nicely furnished and large bathroom. We stayed an extra day just because it was such a comfortable nice place to relax. We could look across the river to the USA side from our room.

Good restaurant and cozy cocktail lounge on main floor of hotel.

Very nice, good service. A beautiful buffet to choose from or order off the menu. Either was delicious. Restaurant stays open late. It is also open for breakfast and lunch. This is inside the hotel.

Situated next to the dining room inside the hotel. Sit privately at tables or join the crowd at the bar. Very nice, friendly service. Learn a lot about the area from the local folks. At times, there is piano music being played.

Waterfront walking path

Lots to watch, ships passing through the USA Soo locks, many people fishing off the various docks along the path, catching large salmon. And if you just want to take in the beauty of it all, there are benches along the way to sit. Head the other direction and you walk through a Pavilion/Marina Park. A good picture-taking area. Next to this a Museum Ship. There is a restaurant along here as well.

So, lots of choices of what to do if you don't want to drive anywhere for a while.
