The beachfront accommodations were nothing less than AMAZING. The house is one bedroom -- about 800 sq. feet. Bali style shower, gas stove, refrigerator, all amenities of a small house. Bottled water and some groceries are supplied for your use at no additional cost. There is no air-conditioning -- however, the ocean breezes keep the house cool. It has a thatched roof with three ceiling fans -- one in the kitchen, one in the dining area and one over the king size bed. A two person sea kayak is provided as well at no additional cost. You can paddle out a short distance and see turtles, lobster, and incredible fish . . . Snorkling is a must. The beach is literally 15 steps away from the house. ...Read More

This is a beautiful casual dining restaurant on the beach in Soliman Bay, Mexico. The seafood is great! Their Conch Ceviche is the best and the cervezas are inexpensive. Service is fantastic.

The restaurant specializes in seafood, especially lobster. The atmosphere is laid-back and takes you back in time. There is a coconut grove located next to the restaurant, perfect for hanging around in a hammock. There is also directly behind the restaurant that leads to a cenote.

This is a great restaurant. Fresh local seafood, Texas-style barbecue on Sundays! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 8am to 9pm.

There is a sailboat located out front of the restaurant--I hear the owner will take you on a sunset cruise for a small fee.

Most of the people there knew one another from previous visits and come back year after year. Everyone, from the staff to the patrons, was extremely friendly.

Manatee Cenote is located directly behind the restaurant. This is a freshwater lagoon that offers a winding open-water snorkeling route and a refreshing swim. The cenote is one of the few free cenotes around, and it empties out into the ocean right near shore.

Soliman Bay Mexico

Story/Tip

Soliman Bay, Mexico, is a very secluded town. There are no hotels--just residential property, some of which is offered for short term/long term rental. This website offers a variety of houses for rent ranging from $75 to $500 per night for everything from studio units up to five bedroom houses, with or without swimming pools. All are beachfront or have views of the beautiful bay. The bay is protected by a large barrier reef. Most of their properties have sea kayaks for exploring the bay. This area is not for people who want nightlife and a lot of things to do. This is a secluded area where you normally do not see more than two or thr...Read More
