Well, we stayed at the Blue Bay Getaway and it was fantastic. There were activities going on all the time. The activities were very adult-oriented, so if you are not the type of person to enjoy that, don't go here! The staff was unbelievable, and the resort itself was very clean and very large!

The two tours that we did when we were there were absolutely amazing! The first tour we did was a trip to the Mayan Ruins and then to Xel-ha (Shell ha). Definitely worth every penny. You could go snorkeling or swimming with the dolphins or jump off the cliffs if you wanted to! The next tour we did was with Blue Water Adventures and it was called a Jungle Tour -- you got to take your own little speedboat through a jungle-like atmosphere and then, at the end of it, spend a couple of hours snorkeling! Then, of course, to top of the vacation, our resort offered a booze cruise, which, after drinking on the boat for a couple of hours, took us to Carlos 'n Charlie's and then to La Boom! All in all, anyone going to Cancun will be amazed.

Quick Tips:

If you want the best service while you are there, make sure to tip your bartenders and the rest of the hotel staff. If you do this, you are going to feel like a VIP member!

Best Way To Get Around:

I found the best way to get around Cancun was to take the bus -- it was only 6 pesos (US.60), you could go anywhere, and it runs all night! You could take a taxi, but it will cost you! Also you can walk to some nightclubs.

When we first arrived at Blue Bay Getaway, our room was not the nicest, but when we spoke to the staff, they moved us right away! They had put us in a room in the not-so-nice section of the resort, but they quickly moved us into the timeshare section and those rooms were fabulous -- we had a balcony overlooking the pool and the beach! I couldn't have asked for anything nicer.

The booze cruise at the Blue bay Getaway is awesome. You pay $35-45 per person and it covers your drinks on the cruise, which lasts a couple of hours. When the cruise is over, the boat docks at Senor Frog’s and your cover charge to the bar, dinner, and drinks is included in the cruise price. When you have finished partying at Senor Frog’s, they take you to La Boom and pay your cover charge there, too!! It is an awesome little trip and definitely worth doing while you are in Cancun.
