Surf & Sun at Myrtle Beach SC

A July 2003 trip to Myrtle Beach by FozzieBear

Quote: We stayed at the Links Golf & Racquet Club, North Myrtle Beach, SC. The resort offers two-bedroom townhouses. The units are old but clean. They allow smoking in the units, so if you are allergic to smoke, ask for an ionizor at the front desk and take some Lysol spray for the air-conditioner intake. The pool and club house area are clean and great fun for the kids.

This really helped to clear up the room in no time. The units are clean and well kept, even though they are older units, they are quite comfortable. The beds were also comfortable. Dixie Stampede Dinner Show

Restaurant | "The Dixie Stampede Dinner Show"

The Dixie Stampede is a one-of-a-kind experience. We purchased tickets from the resort at a discount for the family night show. The show is excellent! A must see for anyone who has kids, likes live entertainment, and horses. There is expert horsemanship, comedy, singing, and plenty of other excitement.

The food is an "eat with your hands" five-course meal. You won't go hungry. We had to keep reminding the children to keep eating because they were so engrosed in the show. Don't worry, if you can't eat it all, they give you a doggie bag to take it home with you. A truly fun family night out.

The park offers nature hiking and plenty of oceanfront. Dining lodges, bath house, fishing pier. Plenty of parking. Shaded picknicing sites available. Ask the front desk for a park pass and get in free. Located in South Myrtle Beach away from the crowd. Good place to go and get away from the main traffic for a day.
