Toronto is a city of wonders, from the waterfront to the CNE fairgrounds to the CN tower. There is so much to see and it can be very overwhelming if you aren't used to a big city

I really enjoyed exploring downtown Toronto. The people are very unique as well as all the beautiful little shops. Queen Street in my opinion is the best if you are looking for out-of-the-ordinary items. The Eaton Centre is there, but I suggest walking along Queen itself as there is so much to see. If you love sports, I highly recommend seeing the Jays, Leafs, or Raptors play. I have been to all three over different periods and they were quite enjoyable. The Raptors games are very loud and caotic though if you aren't into a lot of noise.

Quick Tips:

Be aware that there are a large population of street people in downtown Toronto and you will be asked A LOT for spare change if you are on foot.

Best Way To Get Around:

The subway goes vitually everywhere and is easy and cheap to travel. It is the best way to get around if you are not used to driving in that kind of traffic. It can be a little crazy, especially in rush hour.
We got to our room and were shocked to see it was no more than 200 sq. feet. Very tiny! The fridge was in the closet as well as a small dresser. We were travelling with 2 children and we could barely move. After getting there the hotel decided to change our nightly rate even though we were confirmed at a set rate for the week. My husband almost sliced his finger off an a broken tap and our 8 year old daughter was subjected to a porn channel when she turned on the television (it was supposed to be locked). We requested it to be locked and finally after 4 days they sent someone up.

The housekeeping staff are wonderful and friendly. We were impressed with them. Also we were evacuated out of the hotel for a fire alarm at 1am and being on the 18th floor that was a chore with a baby and an 8 yr old. That wasn't a problem but the lack of hotel staff was. No one had a clue what was going on and eventually we all just wandered back in. Walking up the 18 flights with a year old baby was fun too.

The coffee shop was good on site but the resaurants were very pricey.

Best Things Nearby:
Barrie is a wonderful little town with a lot of things to do in the summer. Wasaga Beach is 40 minutes west of the resort and it is a blast with paintball, go carts, and a waterworld. GO THERE! It's great.

Best Things About the Resort:
The amenities are wonderful, the pool is great, and you can use all the amenities at the Horseshoe Resort close by. There is a lot of things to do!

Resort Experience:
We were impressed with the friendliness of this resort. It was clean and the unit was a good size with a kitchen that was well stocked with utensils. We discovered many things to go and do in the area and the resort helped us find these places. There is a rock climbing place called Off the Wall in Barrie and in Lefroy there is a stock car speedway called Sunset Speedway. The resort listened to what we needed and pointed us in the right directions.

Restaurant | "The Old Spaghetti Factory"

I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at the Old Spagetti Factory. The food was great and the service was friendly. I walked out very full as the portions are quite big.

Canada's WonderlandBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Paramount Canada's Wonderland"

I highly recommend Canada's Wonderland, but what I notice is that a lot of people take food coolers and picnics just outside the park on picnic tables or the grass. The food sold at the park is good and plentiful, but quite pricey. I love the rides as there is such a great mix. There are usually shows and there is an aquarium that has shows as well.
