A cheap treat in Milan

A March 2003 trip to Milan by megn323

In Milan I discovered a favorite Italian custom--the Aperitivo. After each workday, every bar offers a free spread of appetizers. For the budget conscious, Milan’s aperitivo is an economically savvy option and with Milan's multitude of bars, there's enough variety to satisfy the most ambitious bargain hunter!

Great food in a hip atmosphere that boasts a heavy bar crowd as much as a dining crowd. The food is pleasantly underpriced, given the elevated stature of the bar scene. The wine list offers good Italian wine as well as some tasty imports and the traditional Italian fare is well presented and dependable. A great, safe place to bring friends visiting who want reliable food with a cool atmosphere. Quite in the scene of Milan without being overly pretentious.
