Kylemore Abbey and its gardens are a sight to stop any tourist on their tracks. The craft shop is well worth the while too, just as all the craft shops in the area. Clifden, however, is the best place to buy souvenirs.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

The best way to explore the region is by car. Buses are a few and far between to be a practical means for getting around. The distances too great to walk for any but enthusiasts. Cycling can be nice, except for the rain.
The rooms in the older part of the can be fairly small, but there are family rooms available that can house 4-6 people. Cots and spare beds are also available. There are also a couple of suites that are more spacious.
