The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas

The grounds of the hotel were absolutely beautiful. Parrots everywhere, waterfalls abound. Coy carp for the kids to feed. The rooms were a bit small but very comfortable. The heavenly beds were so comfortable. The pools at the Westin are a child's dream. However, in July beware that the Westin is packed with a lot of people. It didn't help that the Marriott was under construction and the Westin allowed 100 Marriott guests to use the pool.

The spa was fantastic. Loved the massage. Kids used the kids club and really liked being there. They begged to go back. The only drawback was it was only open from 6-9pm which really cuts down on where you dine.

This is a lovely property that is very old for Hawaii. It is a low rise property not exceeding 3 stories. We had a Deluxe Ocean view on the bottom floor of ocean side of the property. It was a beautiful and big room. The sunsets from the property we absolutely stunning.

So we grab a cab to the hotel. $60 later we are at the Westin and in our room momentarily. We decided to not rent a car as we had been to Maui before and just wanted 4 days of relaxing at the beach and pool. Day 2 was a pool day, watersliding in the Westin pool and playing at the beach. We tried the Lahaina Luau. My daughter (age 9) loved it, but my husband thought it was very commercial/Hollywood. No one would eat the pork after they showed the pig in the pit. My son (age 7) was a bit bored. ...Read More
