Best Things Nearby:DC is about a one-hour drive depending on the time of day. It's almost all interstate so it goes quickly. You can get into the city in time to visit the museums, zoo, etc. when they open. It's also convenient to traveling the rest of the state. Richmond is a nice trip and Montecello is an easy drive.Best Things About the Resort:This was a two-story individual unit with a huge porch with rockers and a picnic table. Resort Experience:It's in a wooded park with a lake, tennis courts, basketball gym, etc. There's lots to do if you don't want to drive to DC or elsewhere to see the sights.
