Sunterra's Greensprings Plantation isn't quite ready for family activities, although a well-kept new timeshare in the Williamsburg area.

Sunterra Resorts Greensprings Plantation

Best Things Nearby:
Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean (it's new) and spacious. Washer/dryer in unit.

Resort Experience:
Sunterra's Greensprings Plantation is their newest offering in Williamsburg. Resort activities are somewhat limited. It is also a little far away from most Williamsburg area attractions. Units are built four high, so you will most likely have to climb steps to get in (no elevator), unless you're the lucky one to get a ground floor unit.

Williamsburg National

Williamsburg National is a decent course for the average weekend golfer. Slightly rolling terrain and tree lined fairways add a little challenge. Overall, it's worth the price when comparing to others I've played. Its close proximity to Sunterra's Powhattan and Greensprings Plantation resorts is a plus.

Kingsmill on the James

Kingsmill offers three 18-hole championship caliber courses to play: the Woods course, the River course, and the Plantation course, as well as a 9-hole executive par 3 course known as Bray Links. All are groomed like the better country club courses. Although a bit expensive compared to most public courses, definitely worth it for the occasional vacation reward to the average golfer. Beautifully manicured tees, faiways and greens, as well as those pesky sand traps. Not to mention some of the views of the James River on some of the holes. Whether you score in the 70s, 80s, 90s or higher, just the trip around the course with views and well kept grounds gives you sufficient reward for your money. If you can afford this one, you can't visit Wiliamsburg without at least one round here.
