Walt Disney for the Over-50 Crowd

A May 2001 trip to Orlando by sugilley

Quote: Walt Disney World is fun for the over-50 crowd. We can be kids again and nobody minds.

Diamond Resorts Grand Beach

Hotel | "Embassy Vacation Resort - Grand Beach"

We exchanged our timeshare for this one - with three bedrooms and three baths. The accommodations were quite nice - not luxurious - but with plenty space for six adults.

It was very convenient to Walt Disney World and the surrounding attractions. The walks around the area were great - very relaxing atmosphere.

Walt Disney World Resort Magic Kingdom

Attraction | "Disney's Magic Kingdom"

When three couples decide to visit Disney's Magic Kingdom and one couple has never been before, it really turns out to be a "magic" time. We rode the rides, including Space Mountain, took in all the shows, and acted like children -- and nobody cared. We actually visited Magic Kingdom on Mother's Day, which turned out to be a great time to visit. The number of people there was quite manageable and we did not have long lines for any activity. We saw the parades at 3pm and at 9pm - they were wonderful. We'll go back soon, and may take the grandkids.

Cirque du Soleil La Nouba

Attraction | "La Nouba"

This was the most amazing show we had ever seen before, as agreed by all six of us. It was non-stop action from the beginning to the end. It is a combination of music, acrobatics, and action you can't describe. We highly recommend this to anyone of any age.

The "guys" wanted to play this beautiful course and were able to get a special rate for golf that included lunch. They said the course was immaculate and challenging, but manageable. They greatly enjoyed their round. They highly recommend golfers to try this course.
