We took a family trip to see Universal and WDW.

We got to go to Universal and it was wonderful. We went to Epcot and visited the countries represented there and had a wonderful time. Make sure you ride the new space training ride. It was awesome.

Quick Tips:

There are lots of booths in the area around WDW claiming they have cheap tickets. They will ask you to tour a resort to get them. If you do this, remember to request the number of tickets you want for your family and you will get a good deal. It is a sales presentation, so be ready to deal with that as well.

Best Way To Get Around:

We rented a car and it worked out well for us because we went to Tampa for a day. There are shuttles available to the parks, but they are not too flexible.
Best Things Nearby:
This resort is right on Route 192. Take it east and you will see the entrance to WDW within 5 min. and then I-4 just after that. There are two Dinner theaters near by that our children absolutely loved. Medival Times and Arabian Nights. Both highly recommended after a hard day of park hopping.

Best Things About the Resort:
Our condo was spacious beyond our wildest dreams. The master bedroom had a king-size bed and a giant bath complete with a large Jacuzzi. My wife and I could lock that master bedroom door and have a mini vacation while the kids were watching TV and eating popcorn. There was a den with a large screen TV and VCR. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials down to the electric can opener. The pool was perfect for our children. Depths from 3'6" to 4'6" and lots of space was a real hit with them. It is really a children friendly place.

Resort Experience:
Silver Lake is a small resort. A centrally located clubhouse and cabana surround the large clover leaf shaped pool. Our condo was one of the furthest away from the pool and it was only a few minutes walk. My children quickly made new friends and had a wonderful time. I was pleased with the way the staff dealt with our questions and helped the kids. This was our first timeshare exchange and it exceeded my expectations. I toured several other resorts in the area and they are all very beautiful, but I think Silver Lake best suited our family because of its smaller size.

Le Cellier - EpcotBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "EPCOT - LE CELLIER"

We went to Epcot expose our children to the countries represented there. Both Audrey and I have been to France and wanted to give the kids a taste of French dining. At the restaurant we were greeted in French and seated. The kids stared at the French menu for awhile and finally I suggested they ask the waiter for help. It was very interesting seeing them deal with someone who speaks English as a second language. We got them all to try snails and explained how a French meal is set in courses. The food was good. It was just French enough to give the children a sense of what the differences are between American and French food. The waiter was very helpful and was a very good waiter. It did not seem to matter to him that we were at a theme park. For that moment in time, we were in Paris at a fine restaurant. I am hopeful that this will open our children up to trying new things when they have the opportunity.
