A May 2003 trip to Bushkill by sheehanj

This was a wonderful family trip with so many things to do. Every day of our one week there was packed full of activities.

The acommodations were just average. They had everything you needed for a week but their decor was a little outdated. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath unit that also had a loft. My daughter loved the loft because she could be upstairs (spiral staircase) and look over the wall and still see and hear us. It had a Jacuzzi tub and stand-up shower off of the master bedroom. It was located on the 18th green of the golf course. Both bedrooms had sliding glass doors out to the golf course.

Best Things Nearby:
Bushkill Falls, Paws and Claws, movies, a couple of water parks, river rafting or tubing, bowling, New York is one and a half hours away, paddle boats, golf, indoor/outdoor pool, miniature golf, and horseback riding.

Best Things About the Resort:
A lot of onsite amenities and activities.

Resort Experience:
It has a Jacuzzi tub off the master bath. The decor is a little outdated but nice. It had a loft that kids would love. It also had a TV and VCR in the living room and a TV in the master bedroom. The washer and dryer were small stackables and the dryer didn't dry very well (one hour to dry two pieces of clothes). The stove was very nice. It had all the utensils you would need. Grocery store was only two miles down the road.

This park is not real big but has plenty to offer. I have been to numerous zoos (even San Diego Zoo) and parks and I have never been able to see a tiger or lion or any big cat for that matter up close and awake. They had a lion, tiger, black leopard, black jaguar, and white tiger. All of these were awake and within five feet of me. They had giraffes, wolves, bears, lammas, pigs, camels, snames, porcupines, alligators, emus, wallabys, meer cats, pony, jackal, owls, hawks, skunks, spiders, frogs, and much more. The gift shop was also very affordable.

Attraction

This was a very relaxing, beautiful place to see. The waterfalls were very soothing and refreshing. They had several paths to take depending on how much you wanted to see and how much you were willing to climb stairs. I had to carry a seven-month-old that weighed 19 pounds and we took the second most difficult path, and it wasn't too bad. This is a great place to take some beautiful family pictures.
