My personal favourite is Quincy Market in the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. In the summer it is a hub of activity. The duck tours are a blast but be warned to get there early as the lines are long. Beacon Hill is also a beautiful place to visit; pop into 65 Beacon Street and tell them I said hi. Rent a car for the day and drive to Newburyport; it's a straight route up highway rt1. Visit Filenes Basement in the center of Downtown Crossing for the best bargains around: a pair of Levi jeans would run you only 29 dollars or a pair of Nike air sneakers for 50 dollars. We were seated very quickly and outside, which was really nice. The menu was explained to us as it was our fist visit. The server was friendly, fast and seemed to know what we needed before we did. I would highly recommend this place.
