It is a pleasure to do business trips if you combine them properly to things you like to do. I enjoy food a lot, so here are the restaurants I visited during my trip. Hope you find them interesting!

I came against all odds to an exhibition in Javitts Center which is an enormous facility for different conventions and exhibitions. This time it was one dealing with Licensing products.

Quick Tips:

I suppose I am biased, coming form Mexico, but I rather visit NY in the sumeer than in the winter.

Best Way To Get Around:

I should think the best way to move around is taxing due to security and movility. Besides, you don't have to worry about parking, which is an issue in the city.

Accommodations are very luxurious, but as expected in NYC the room wasn't very spacious. The housekeeping was not to the standards I expected in this kind of hotels, but when I complained got complimentary breakfast for a week, which is the length of my reservation so you might get lucky . . . Although I rather pay for my breakfast, but have clean restroom instead. However, afterwards was very good attention. I guess that happens everywhere . . .

I did not have a specific place to go but I was starving so my roaming would not take me very far. I am elated to stop my roaming this fast! Service is excellent when you are greeted. I saw the menu, but some food was offered as specials and I did take his advice and had the most delicious tortellinni with prosciutto sauce. I had ordered beer (I was looking for dark Heineken but since there wasn´t any I accepted to taste the Brooklyn) I dont think the beer mixed as good as the white wine that I ordered to go with my pasta. Let me tell you that I cleaned the plate! But hten the dessert was out of this world all that rich chocolate in the typical Italian recipe, unheard of such a good thing!

Let me tell you that I did not expect it to be in this price range and I was tempted to leave without ordering (not because of the service, which was excellent and prompt, but because of the pricing -- prices averaged $17). But remembering the Sheraton Promise, I decided to stay. I ordered an appetizer, the Lobster Ravioli, which could have been a meal itself, but I was hungrier than that, so I then ordered the Chicken Parmesan -- deeeelicious. And what can I tell you, I just couldn´t get away without a dessert, so I ordered the apricot and berry tart -- mmmmmmhhhmmmmmm.

The panoramic view of Seventh Avenue is a good one and it will improve a lot when the remodeling of the Michelangelo Hotel is finished. The prices are a little high, but they're like that all over Manhattan, so I don't regret this meal at all.

Martini's Restaurant & BarBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Martini´s Restaurant & Bar"

This is a gorgeously decorated restaurant with excellent service and food quality. But it is mainly defined for drinking martinis on different strokes and flavors. Mine was a chocolate martini garnished with a Hershey's kiss . . . very good.

Food is on the side of very well cooked Italian food that needs to be taken seriously and have the proper time to be digested. Salads and original margarita pizza.

We stopped here because we had to hurry and we hadn´t had any breakfast that day. So at 4:40pm, we could eat anything. It was just fairly good.

My experience with the chain had always been very good, however this time I didn´t enjoy it as much because it is very poorly lit and the wood divisions on the roof were too low (though perhaps this was because when alone, as I was this time, you want to see other people).

The service was very good and the food just a little below the standard I was expecting. Maybe also the prices in NY make the chain restaurants go higher in costs thus also in prices. I have to say that also they were remodelling when I came, so scaffolds made it even dimmer.

Restaurant

Ellen´s Stardust
A wide menu featuring the most well known United States´ dishes while you see a perfomance done by the servers taking turns. Most sing very well and as they say, they were rejected by odd reasons either from Broadway itself or Hollywood. Food is very good and service is exellent even though your server´s turn will for sure be due before you have to go. Tips apart from the serving are expected for the perfomance and if you get a good place in the center of the cafe you might have "stage seats" for they stroll in the seats´ back when possible. Don´t come alone here.
