First time visit to Freeport, Bahama Island.

Not to be missed, the International Buffet affords diners the opportunity to try foods from all over. Friday/Saturday the buffet is SEAFOOD specific. I tried the grilled alligator and was not disappointed. No matter what your culinary expectations, this restaurant will meet and exceed them.

Good place to try local foods. Menu choices include conch soup, turtle soup, curried mutton, conch salad, guava duff. Ask for Stanley the owner, he'll gladly come to the table and chat for a bit. In the evening, outside seating affords you the opportunity to take in the native show while dining.

Pub on the Mall

Freeport's oldest and most authentic English pub. Three eateries make up the Pub on the Mall: a tropical restaurant, an English pub-style restaurant/lounge, and a sports bar. I ate at the English pub location. The chicken roti with chutney is excellent. You can watch the nightlife from the outside cafe tables.

FANTASTIC- The crew of the Bahama Mama were wonderful. We snorkeled for 90 + minutes in beautiful, active coral reefs in a secluded Cay. A member of the crew was spear fishing while we snorkeled.

Wonderful examples of ocean life including but were not limited to manta rays, lobsters, parrot fish, fan coral, eels, etc...

The catamaran was spacious and beverages were provided. The island cookout on the private beach was wonderful. Very secluded with pristine white sand.

12 acres of tropical plantings with a mini banana grove, paths of bougainvillia and four cascading waterfalls. Birds abound, bring your binoculars to search the canopies. Don't look for lots of tropical flowers -- the park has many examples of the wide variety of tropical trees and bushes. The alligators, petting zoo, and exotic birds such as parrots and peacocks will delight all members of the family. Reasonably priced.
