Paradising in Cancun

A May 2003 trip to Cancun by Sweet C

I never had so much fun for a week alone on the beautiful beach in Cancun, sky riding, relaxing by the beautiful ocean.

I stayed at Moon Palace Nizuc, but Moon Palace is so big that there's also the Sunrise side. All-inclusive drinks and meals, even the mini fridge in the room is stocked daily. Can't forget the jacuzzi in the room also. Moon Palace has options of tours to choose from . . . don't miss out!

Quick Tips:

When arriving at the airport, beware of the information station -- they may try to get you to buy something that's already included at your resort.

If you like to sing karaoke like I do, Moon Palace has three nights that they have karaoke: Sunrise on Sat and Tues and Nizuc on Wed. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early because the list can fill up quick.

Scuba diving and snorkeling lessons offered at the resort.

Best Way To Get Around:

Moon Palace also has complimentary transportation to all the other Palaces in Cancun and yes, they are all all-inclusive for you as well. This transportation also has a stop at the shopping center. There are also some party buses that take you into town for the nightclubs. From the airport, there are taxis and also a transportation service provided by Moon Palace.

Restaurant | "So Many Options"

With the all-inclusive you may dine at any of the restaurants. I strongly recommend the Asian restaurant at Moon Palace on the Sunrise side. Keep in mind men and women can not wear shorts...think of it as semi-formal. There is also a fabulous sushi bar at Moon Palace Nizuc.

Attraction

Moon Palace Resort has a complimentary shuttle that takes you there . . . it's one of the options they give with part of the all-inclusive. It's about a 2-3 hour ride from Moon Palace, but you have lunch, learn lots about Chichen Itza, and also make stops in town. Try to climb the largest pyramid . . . I DID!

Attraction | "Senor Frogs & I want to say LaBoom"

Senor Frog's has a lagoon and a slide inside the bar that you may plunge into the lagoon! Dancing on the bars was a BLAST!!

Now LaBoom (I think that's the name): it has two sides each play different types of music like pop and the other side rap. Cool patio also to walk out and talk get some air...you'll need it.
